How Our Quick Assessment Works

A pattern that keeps showing up.

Children get labeled ADHD. Parents cycle through medications. Nobody ever shows the parent what's actually happening in the brain. So you keep guessing, keep adjusting the dose, keep hoping this one will be the one that works.

What this quick assessment does.

You answer 7 questions about what's showing up at home, school, and bedtime. We match your answers against the brainwave patterns we've seen across thousands of brain maps. You get a quick assessment you can actually use.

Built by a teacher, not a pharma rep.

As an educator of 25+ years, I found neurofeedback because of the needs of my family + community. I built Braintopia after I saw the benefits in my own life and family. This quiz is similar to conversations I have everyday with parents in each of our 10 Dallas area centers. — Sandra

Most parents who land here are tired. They've cycled through medications, behavior plans, school meetings, and rating scales but still don't have a real answer for what's actually happening in their child’s brain.

We do this differently. We map your child's brainwave patterns first, then build a training protocol around what we actually see — not a generic playbook.

Looking for a drug-free path to ADHD, anxiety, sleep, or behavioral issues?

Start with our 2-minute assessment. Answer 7 questions about what's showing up at home, school, and bedtime, and we'll tell you which brainwave pattern your child’s situation most likely matches. No signup. No pressure. Just a real starting point.

Every Brain Is Different. So Is Every Plan.

Two children with the same ADHD diagnosis can have completely opposite brainwave patterns. If we treat the wrong one, we get the wrong result.

That's why our process starts with the quiz — your answers tell us which pattern category your child is most likely showing, before any appointment, brain map, or paid session. It's a quick & zero obligation way for you to get a quick read on what's going on.

ADHD doesn't look the same in every child.

Here are the three main patterns we see:

ADHD shows up in unique ways for different people. BRAINTOPIA recognizes that attention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity do not look the same for everyone, and knowing your specific pattern is the first step to effective support.

Here are the three main types of ADHD:

  • Inattentive Type ADHD

Difficulty staying focused, finishing tasks, staying organized. Easily distracted, forgetful, drifting. Often the most misdiagnosed type because there's no hyperactivity — these children are just quietly falling behind.

  • Hyperactive-Impulsive Type ADHD

Constantly "on the go," talks excessively, interrupts, can't stay still. Restless decisions disrupt school, friendships, and the family dinner table.

  • Combined Type ADHD

Both patterns at once. The most common type we see — and the most exhausting for parents.
